The world of screen printing and garment decoration overs many different areas and involves so many interesting people. We work alongside many talented people; entrepreneurs, unique designers, big brands, schools and other like-minded small businesses. We love to share with you some of the people we have had the pleasure of working with over the years.
In this first blog post we are delighted to introduce the Colin Martin, Group Equipment Manager at Kingswood Learning and Leisure. Colin has worked with Kingswood for many years, working his way up from Activities Manager since 2005. Any of you with kids may know that Kingswood are one of the most experienced outdoor learning education providers in the UK, offering kids holiday camps and school residentials that are fun and exhilarating experiences which focus on challenge and adventure.
Here’s what he had to say to us…
Tell us a bit about your background, why you took the path you took and how it led you to your current job
After coming out of Collage and working in a the food service industry I wanted to get back to the outdoors, spending many a hour tramping the North Yorkshire Moors as a youth and having had people show me the “ropes” I thought maybe I could do this too. 15 years later here I am.
What is your favourite thing about your career?
No day is the same, Every day I have an indirect impact on 1000’s of young people, I am small part of a fantastic team of people that strive to allow youngsters to have life changing experiences. It is very rare to see someone not enjoying their time when out on our sites. We aspire to inspire both youngsters and young adults to enjoy the outdoors.
What is good about Dot Promotional Clothing?
Richard and his team strive to meet and excel in every request made of them, in all aspects of what they do, from sourcing to delivery. They have supported our business to meet some tough deadlines and forge the brand we carry on our garments forwards. Finding solutions to deliver on international projects, and to direct supply to our 10 sites.
